Trade-union selfishness

Currently, the Belgian government is trying to do something about the proportional increase of the ageing population and its consequences for social security. Older people are entitled to pensions and furthermore, they need more medical attention. So, in order to be able to pay for all of this, measures have to be taken. Currently, one can officially retire at 65 or after 45 years of labour. However, there are lots of forms of early retirement. Currently, about everyone can do that as of the age of 58.
