Censorship in Belgium
In Belgium, everything that's not political correct, or even not in the governing classes' point of view, has a very hard time getting published, either in the press or through a publishing company. Even an open letter of a whole bunch of Flemish opinion makers (like philosophers, journalists etc) ranging from left to right, from conservative to liberal, was censored by the Flemish leading newspaper De Standaard.
I'd wish that the so-called 4th power stops bullshitting the public and just say the truth: we are not living in a democracy. Let's not be hypocrits. The world turns and we have no influence on it.
Personally, I am in favour of nearly complete freedom of opinion, whether I agree with it or not. Of course there are exceptions, e.g. in the case of libel or defamation, but never because of ideological, political, religious or philosophical views. The debate has to stay open.
